This white oak bench is ttthiiccc. Two laminated beams salvaged from rejected door panels are joined together by four custom butterfly splines made from sapele mahogany. The trestle tie incorporates a through-tenon, double wedged in place. This bench breaks down completely.

I love the void that stretches down the middle of the bench, something I saw in a dream. Look for this design in later projects.
